People Search & It’s Far Reaching Impact!

People search sites have been very much in the news recently and today we decided to take a closer look at people search sites and the impact that these sites may have on you.

People search sites have been growing exponentially over the past 12 to 18 months and listed below are the Top 5 reasons for their growing popularity namely:

Accessibility – In the past one would have to hire a specialist to dig/search for people or pay over the odds for an online search service
Cost – Today there are many sites offering free search although most provide only a basic results service
Social Media – The astonishing growth of social sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
Social Curiosity – We’re increasingly becoming avid information seekers especially for the latest on famous people, actors and musicians
Reputation – Employers are increasingly using social network sites to find background info. on prospective employees

Accessibility - Most people seem to have computers at home nowadays or if not at least they will have access to computers and the Internet and with a few simple clicks of a mouse information is made readily available right in the comfort of living rooms around the world.
This makes searching for people a very easy way to find long lost friends and relatives.

Cost - Just do a search on Google and you will be faced with a multitude of sites offering free people search. In reality though this is very rarely true as most offer very basic results and are formed on the business model of promoting more comprehensive paid searches. Needless to say that despite this blatant plug kgbpeople.com are one of the very few sites that offer you a comprehensive search facility completely ‘free of charge’.

Social Media - Some argue that Facebook and Twitter are now more popular than Google and whether this is wholly true or not it certainly is the way the future seems to be shaping. In reality what this means is that we’re socially interacting much more in cyberspace than we’ve ever done before, exchanging interests, ideas and personal data too.

Social Curiosity - People of all ages and backgrounds seem to be keen on sharing more of their lives today through social networks, blogs, photos and video-sharing sites and for the most part its’ a really fun way to socialise.

Reputation - As employers are increasing using social network sites to check on what information is available on a prospective candidate, it is becoming even more imperative to be aware of what is out there on you.

Interestingly, recent reports suggest that awareness and concern about privacy is high especially among younger users of social networking sites, who say that they’ve changed the default privacy settings on their profile to limit what they share with others online.

Isn’t it high time you checked on your own online reputation? To do that, simply enter in your name into the people search box below and hit search.

Free People Search site gets flooded with The Apprentice fever.

Breaking News:
Raleigh Addington one of the potential Apprentices has had to leave the show after an emergency call placed by his mother informing him of his brother being hit by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.

Raleigh, 23, was too shocked to continue in the show and left to comfort his brother with his family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

As the new season of The Apprentice (UK) gets underway and the nation waits in anticipation on who might be crowned yet again with the famous ‘you’re hired’ command, the free people search kgbpeople.com website has been flooded with people searching for information on the latest candidates to satisfy their thirst for any clue as to who might end up as the potential winner.

A whole 18 months has lapsed since the last series, but this Wednesday multimillionaire tycoon Lord Sugar will once again sit in his oversized boardroom chair, pointing the finger of doom at the hapless candidate who has failed abjectly in the tasks set.

As the show gathers pace, the runners and the riders all queue up jockeying for position to meet the approval of Lord Sugar. As the series develops and he gets closer to picking his next protégé, the question running through everyone mind is who will it be?

Inevitably the public are divided on who the favourite is and who should be the first to go. The latter was answered last week when Dan Harris ala ‘Sergeant Major’ style strutted around ordering his team with the classic line ‘I’ll manage the team while you do all the work’ – No doubt Mr. Harris will cringe if he happens to be brave enough to watch a rerun.

Incidentally, if you have happened to land on this blog for the first time, briefly this is what the kgbpeople.com website offers namely, a free people search facility whereby you can enter into the search box the name of the person that you want to find information on and the search engine will retrieve all the information available including blogs, videos and images from Twitter, Facebook, Google, Yahoo, YouTube & Flickr amongst others.

OK, now back to The Apprentice – Who do you think is going to win?

Do a free people search below to check out the profiles of each of the candidates and come back and tell us what you think?

Justin Bieber on the kgbpeople search site

We’ve noticed a very popular people search being conducted for celebrity Justin Bieber on kgbpeople.com. The fascination with Bieber has been immense in the past few weeks and so we decided to feature him on our first blog post to see just what makes him such a huge teen icon.Find Justin Bieber on kgbpeople.com

Adored by millions of screaming teenage girls, for those who aren’t familiar with who Justin Bieber is (have you been living under a rock?), it might pay to take a quick look at where he comes from and his meteoric rise to fame.

So here’s the boring stuff…

Justin Drew Bieber born March 1, 1994 is a Canadian pop/R&B singer.
Until very recently, Justin was a just regular boy who played hockey and soccer in Stratford, Ontario (population just 30,000) who taught himself piano, guitar and trumpet & took drum lessons.

He lived in low-income housing with Ms. Pattie Mallette, who as a teenager herself, had dreamed of becoming an actress, plans she later abandoned when she discovered being pregnant at 18.

Raising Justin alone, Pattie Mallette is said to have worked in low-paying office jobs to make ends meet as a single mother. Justin still however, keeps in touch with his father, Jeremy Bieber.

Known as a scrappy athlete and chess player, Justin kept his musical passions to himself and at 12 entered a local talent contest, coming second.

For family and friends who missed the competition, he uploaded videos on YouTube.

So how was Bieber discovered?

Bieber was first discovered in 2008 by Atlanta-based hip-hop manager named Scooter Braun, who happened to come across his videos on YouTube and later became his manager.

Apparently, while searching for videos of a different singer, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, clicked on one of Bieber’s 2007 videos by accident. Impressed, Braun tracked down the theater Bieber was performing in, located Bieber’s school, and finally contacted Pattie Mallette.  She allowed Braun to fly Bieber, then 13, to Atlanta, Georgia, to record demo tapes.

His debut single, “One Time”, was released worldwide during 2009, and achieved a top 30 status in over ten countries. This was followed by his debut release, My World, on November 17, 2009, which went platinum in the US, making him the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Baby” a worldwide top-ten single, was released in January 2010 and followed by his first full studio release, My World 2.0, on March 23, 2010 which debuted at number one and within the top ten of several countries and certified platinum in the US.

A week after arriving, Bieber sang for R&B singer/songwriter Usher. Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher.

Justin Timberlake was also reportedly in the running to sign Bieber, but lost the bidding war to Usher.

And now…

Now the PR machine behind Justin the brand is well-oiled. He is tutored privately, takes vocal lessons, the costs underwritten by Island Def Jam records and the R & B superstar Usher. His new family includes Ryan Good, a former assistant to Usher, whom the singer is reputed to have handpicked to be Justin’s road manager and “swagger coach” to sharpen his moves, attitude and wardrobe.

Here are a few of his recent memorable quotes:
“The harder you work, the more successful you can be,” Justin said. “This is just the beginning for me.”

And how does a 15-year-old define success?
“I grew up with not a lot of money,” Justin replied. “We never owned a house. I want to buy my mom a house.”
